Roger Dunlop

Roger hails from Christchurch New Zealand where he played in a variety of groups covering, rock, jazz, country and show band styles.

He started playing guitar at age 7 and moved on to drums in 1962 after joining the NZ army. Where he was stationed, they held dances every weekend and the band had plenty of guitarists but no drummer, so that was the start of long musical career including playing and singing with successful covers band 'SAGE', a duo called 'Y-KNOT' and the show-band 'THE VISCOUNTS'.

1994 saw Roger move to the Gold Coast Australia with his wife and daughter. After a couple of stints in smaller groups, he met up with John who was starting a new band - that was to become 'The GOOD ROCKIN DADDYS'. The rest as they say is history!

Roger also has strong ties to his church and its praise and worship team where he sings and plays guitar.
